Covid-19 Vaccinations

– Tennesseans who wish to receive COVID-19 vaccination and qualify for a phase currently being vaccinated can register for an appointment online at https://covid19.tn.gov/covid-19-vaccines/vaccine-phases/. Residents of Tennessee’s metropolitan counties may seek information from their local health departments about vaccination, as their local processes may vary. • A video tutorial explains the process for registering for vaccination. • Tennesseans can select their county on an interactive map to learn the risk-based and age-based phases currently eligible for COVID-19 vaccination and how to request a vaccination appointment. The statewide Call Center (T: 866-442-5301) will receive calls from anyone who needs assistance getting on a county vaccination waiting list, a waiting list in all 89 rural counties excluding metro health departments. The individual will receive an email confirming that they are on the waiting list, then they will receive a call/text/email when it is time for them to sign up. That communication will contain a link that will send them to a place where they can choose their date and time.

The MISSION of the Hamblen County Senior Citizens Center is to enhance the quality of life of our senior citizens and to help them remain independent for as long as possible; It is also to provide educational activities and maintain a comfortable and safe place to socialize, make new friends and create memories.

Programs are planned to provide educational information, fellowship and fitness activities which will keep the body and mind active.  Outreach programs are designed to help prevent the loneliness and  isolation which are frequently a problem for people as they age.
