Senior Center

The Senior Center of Morristown, TN was founded 2-17-1970 to provide a place for active Seniors to meet new people, learn new skills, stay active and fellowship. In 1998 we moved to the new location at 841 Lincoln Ave.

At 50 years old, you become eligible to join the Senior Center. Some of the special programs and services offered by the Senior Center and the Hamblen County Office on Aging are under the heading of  Home/Office on aging/ services.

MISSION

The MISSION of the Hamblen County Senior Center is to enhance the quality of life of our senior citizens and to help them remain independent for as long as possible.   It is also to provide educational activities and maintain a comfortable and safe place to socialize, make new friends and create memories.

Programs are planned to provide educational information, fellowship and fitness activities which will keep the body and mind active.  Outreach programs are designed to help prevent the loneliness and  isolation which are frequently a problem for people as they age.

Covid-19 Vaccinations

Morristown and surrounding counties do not have to make an appointment although they may.   Vaccines are readily available at many health departments and pharmacies.

https://covid19.tn.gov/covid-19-vaccines/availability/  will have a way to search sources for the vaccines and location.
